This vase is a true work of art. The entirely handmade ceramic provides a vision of a Moorish man in the Sicilian pottery tradition in naturalistic detail. The man's distinctive features are highlighted by the crown and fruit that frame his face.

The vase is made entirely by hand and painted in a monochromatic shade, rich in natural pigments and resin binders, which ensure intense color depth.

This vase was created by the Sicilian artist Stefania Boemi . She looks for her materials among objects of the past that convey emotions linked to memory. They are Sicilian things, selected, untied and reassembled, stripped and repainted, disassembled and reassembled. She observes and studies what best characterizes the island's traditions and re-evaluates their uses. The main idea is to bring back to life previously familiar objects that have fallen into disuse. Each piece is assembled by hand and transformed into a unique work.
