The inspiration came from the 19th century: the motifs of the container are based on the panoramic wallpaper "Eden polychrome" from 1861, the scent evokes the lost Garden of Eden and the very name Illusions perdues pays homage to Honoré de Balzac and his famous novel from 1843. This candle is a tribute to a time when fantasy was combined with elegance and stories with art.

The porcelain vessel is hand-painted and decorated with gold foil typography, complemented by a solid brass handle that gives the candle both a noble character and practical functionality. Like the entire collection, the vessel is designed to be easily refillable and can serve as a decorative object for many years.

The porcelain comes from Limoges and the perfumed wax is handmade in Provence, creating an authentic French product that combines tradition, aesthetics and precise craftsmanship.

To maintain the perfect appearance and functionality of the candle, it is recommended not to let it burn for more than two hours at a time. After it goes out, it is advisable to straighten the wick and shorten it to 5 mm. After the wax has completely burned out, pour hot water into the container, remove the wax residue and dry it. Polish the brass handle regularly with a soft cloth to maintain its natural shine.
