The Kürbis (pumpkin) represents a specific part of Theresienthal's history. It demonstrates the ingenuity of the 19th century glass masters who used a glass-blowing mold to produce these decanters. This is a heavy bronze mold with gaps. The molten glass is pressed through these during the blowing process, creating the desired pumpkin-like shape.

Glass factory Theresienthal was founded by Czech-German glassmakers, the Steigerwald brothers, in in 1836. As a crystal glass manufacturer, it has been operating on the market for more than 170 years. years and during this time it became popular around the world.

In Theresienthal highly appreciates craftsmanship, and that's why their products are from start to finish – from the production of wooden molds to blowing and modeling to engraving, grinding, decoration or gilding –  exclusively a manual matter. The rich assortment reflects many years of experience, passion and the skill of local glassmakers, from many of whom have been working in Theresienthal for decades.
