The gold color of the DUE ICE ORO collection is applied using PVD coating technology in high vacuum. In this process, metal, such as titanium, is converted into a vapor state. By adding a reaction gas, a thin and extremely strongly adhesive coating is then created on the surface. This technology was developed for the aerospace industry and has found application in the manufacture of cutlery and other kitchen items. Thanks to this technology, the surfaces of objects are hard and resistant to scratching, corrosion, and fading, and are easier to clean.
