K3 Kenzo Takada Large decorative pillow MAIKO HANATSUGI
Large decorative pillow HANATSUGI with kintsugi pattern. Kintsugi is a Japanese art technique applied to broken pottery. The damaged part is repaired with lacquer sprinkled or mixed with powdered gold, silver or platinum. The philosophy of kintsugi is to consider the damage and necessary repair of an object as part of its history rather than something worth hiding. Here, several jacquard fabrics are connected with a shiny, distinctive thread.
With vibrant reds and pinks, illuminated by touches of gold, the MAIKO collection combines geometric lines and organic shapes. This theme reflects the delicate and refined spirit of young Japanese geishas, known as maiko. Maiko are famous for their colorful kimonos and delicate red and white makeup.
