A large serving or club plate from the Chambord collection by the French faience manufacturer Gien is decorated with impressive black and white photographs of game. The monochrome photos play with light and shadow, lending this large serving plate a natural elegance.
The photographs were taken by Georges Carillo , a renowned French wildlife photographer. He impressively captures animals in motion - the flapping of a pheasant's wings, the leap of a rabbit or the running of a proud stag. Georges Carillo photographed in the former hunting grounds of the Château de Chambord, after which the entire collection is named. The imposing chateau on the Loire is located in the middle of the Sologna Forest, which is home to many wild animals. Their natural appearance is expressed in the photographs. The edges of the large serving plate are decorated with hand-painted borders.

What do we need a serving - club plate for?
No matter how many courses are prepared for a feast, each of them is served on a separate plate. However, they are never placed separately on a tablecloth, but on a so-called serving (club or presentation) plate, which has a diameter of around 30 centimeters and serves as a base plate for plates with other courses.
