Alain Saint-Joanis – The Portofino model is an elegant yet playful collection inspired by the atmosphere of the Italian Riviera, the pastel tones of Mediterranean villas, and sophisticated glamour. The subtly pink lacquered handle gives the cutlery lightness, freshness, and a modern decorative character that feels both luxurious and informal at the same time.

The design of the Portofino model stands out with its subtle structure of fine lines and tiny engraved details, which elegantly break up the smooth surface of the handle and create a discreet graphic effect. The head of the cutlery is made of solidly forged 18/10 stainless steel with a 33 µ silver-plated finish, which gives the collection a delicate shine and a noble character. The handle is made of silver-plated metal with decorative pink lacquering, whose deep finish emphasizes precise manual craftsmanship.

The solidly forged 18/10 stainless steel head of the cutlery represents the pinnacle of traditional French craftsmanship. Forging from a single piece of steel ensures extraordinary strength, perfect balance, and a long lifespan even with daily use. This method of production also allows for precise definition of lines, finer detail, and significantly higher quality compared to commonly stamped cutlery. The surface is then hand-polished and finished in the spirit of traditional French orfèvrerie.

The cutlery is produced in the workshops of La Monnerie in France, and each piece undergoes manual finishing to the quality of traditional French orfèvrerie. The collection is also suitable for dishwasher use.
