Get inspired by Jennifer Aniston's home
Actress Jennifer Aniston's Bel Air home was designed in the 1960s by architect A. Quincy Jones. When Aniston bought the property in 2011, it had just been renovated by architect Frederick Fisher. However, Aniston had it remodeled to her own taste. The actress worked with renowned designer Stephen Shadley to transform her Bel Air home.
The basic attributes of this beautiful house are stone, dark wood, brass and a simple color palette, which together create a zen retreat and a pleasant atmosphere of the home. In addition to natural travertine, Shadley used concrete mainly in the exterior areas.
The color palette throughout the house draws on the texture and richness of Brazilian cumaru. Cumaru is a very durable, hard and fire-resistant wood with a typical reddish-brown color. Over time, the wood changes color to light brown, gray and pink.
The living room is a sophisticated mix of art deco , Hollywood, Mexico and Bali. The central pieces are a brass coffee table by Artur Pani, who has been called the Mexican Jean Royère. Incidentally, Royère's iconic Ours Polair sofa can also be found here. The walls are adorned with paintings by great artists such as Chagall and abstractions by Robert Motherwell, and you can light up an antique Tiffany lamp or a brass wall light in the shape of an atom. Cozy cushions in a walnut palette, faux fur and a leather sofa from the 1950s. However, this eclectic style can be found throughout the house.
The office is Zen-like, with a 1965 Don Shoemaker desk and French Art Deco leather chairs as eye-catchers. Behind Jennifer, a bottle-green Japanese tapestry with gold embroidery is draped over her desk. There is also a Tiffany lamp and a custom-made, hand-woven
rug .
The bedroom is a very interesting space. On an artificially raised space there is an Asian wooden bed, on both sides of which there are brass lamps. On an interesting sideboard from the middle of the last century we find unique pieces of art.
The house has several bathrooms, including a bathroom with a view of a Zen garden, or a dark powder room, the walls of which are decorated with hand-painted Gracie Studio wallpaper.

The actress's favorite place is definitely the kitchen, which has everything you need for life. In addition to its own pizza oven, there is also a beautiful glass-enclosed wine cellar. At the bar are exceptional stools from Blackman Cruz, which you can simply turn out when you need to sit higher.
The house beautifully coexists with mid-century furniture, antique Japanese screens and concrete floors. The land, which was once a vineyard, has been transformed into a network of smaller gardens and terraces under the guidance of an experienced designer. There is also a garden kitchen and a swimming pool with an integrated hot tub.
